Backflow prevention device field testing and Repair

We inspect, certify and repair all newly installed or existing backflow prevention devices of verifiable type, in order to guarantee their operation and compliance with current standards.

 

Our service includes:

  • A detailed certification report for each of the certified devices,
  • Recommendations to improve the compliance of your installations,
  • An inventory that, on a single page, provides all the relevant information related to your backflow prevention devices.

The certifications are conducted by our team of experts accredited by AWWA as backflow preventer device verifiers. The work carried out meets the requirements of the Canadian standard CSA B64.10.1-17 – Maintenance and field testing of backflow preventer devices.

The Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) also relies on this standard to establish the obligations incumbent on building owners for the entire province in terms of preventing backflow in plumbing networks.

 

Emergency shower inspection

We inspect emergency showers on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis depending on the specific needs of the customers. We carry out these inspections on all types of emergency showers; overhead-type showers, eyewash stations and combined showers (overhead-type and eyewash).

 

Our service includes:

  • Water quality and temperature validation,
  • Flow rate and pressure measurement,
  • Valve and leaks inspection,
  • Technical specifications and installation standards assessment,
  • Location and accessibility auditing of the emergency showers installed,
  • Recommendations to improve the compliance of your facilities if necessary.

Inspections are carried out by our team of experts and are based on the American standard ANSI Z358.1-2014 which is also used by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS).

Emergency showers are equipment that must be maintained on regular basis to ensure that they operate properly at all times. These inspections should therefore not be neglected.
